Regulations

1. General provisions

1.1. Tournament organizer – TautasFutbols.LV (hereinafter – Organizer).
1.2. The informative partner of the tournament is FK Lielupe (hereinafter – FK Lielupe).
1.3. The tournament is held using the football simulator FIFA20.
1.4. The tournament takes place on the PlayStation4 game console. To participate in the tournament, a participant must have an active PS Plus subscription.
1.5. Participation in the tournament is paid (see p.8).
1.6. Participants who have read the conditions of these regulations and undertake to comply with them are allowed to participate in the tournament.
1.7. The Participant who has submitted any information and personal data to the Organizer is responsible for their veracity.
1.8. Participant’s registration data may be used for the purposes of the Organizer and FK Lielupe, which do not contradict the legislation of the Republic of Latvia.
1.9. All information about the tournament calendar, game results and tournament tables will be available on the Organizer’s official Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/tautasfutbols/ , as well as on the FK Lielupe website http://fklielupe.lv/10years/.
1.10. The Organizer is entitled to make changes to the tournament rules at any time without prior notice to participants.
1.11. The Organizer has the right to cancel the results of the game(s), disqualify the participant if objective information about cheating, tampering, providing false information appears, which may affect the results of the tournament.
1.12. Participants can challenge the results of the game(s) by writing a free-form letter to the e-mail address fklielupe@gmail.com, explaining the nature of the appeal and attaching evidence (photos, videos, windows, etc.).
1.13. Before each stage of the tournament, the participant must send the Organizer a photo confirmation of his / her internet connection. Connection type must be NAT1 or NAT2. Participants with a connection type of NAT3 will not be admitted to the tournament. Also, participants must check their internet speed.
1.14. Minimum number of participants – 24. In case the number of participants is smaller, the Tournament Organizer may decide to organize a one-day tournament.

2. Tournament structure:

2.1. The tournament consists of:
– Qualification;
– Four mini-tournaments;
– Two final tournaments.
2.2. Tournament qualification:
2.2.1. date of the event – May 16, 2020.
2.2.2. registration for the first stage of the tournament and the qualifying tournament takes place until May 12, 2020 (inclusive). Participation fee must be paid via bank transfer to the bank account of the Organizer. It must be paid between May 13 and May 15. In payment reference must be noticed participant’s name and surname, and the round for which you are making this payment.
2.2.3. takes place according to the Swiss system in 6 rounds. In the first round, opponents are determined by draw. From now on, each participant plays against the nearest opponent he has not met before. The calculation of pairs starts from the top of the tournament table. In case it is not possible to pair in the lower part of the table, because the participants have already played with each other – the algorithm of calculating the pairs of participants predicts the following – the pair closest to the bottom of the tournament table is split and possible pairs are made again from the remaining teams. Each participant can play with the same participant only once during the qualification period.
2.2.4. At the end of the qualification phase, the participants are divided into three divisions (depending on the total number of participants, the number of divisions and the number of participants in each division can be changed).
2.3. Regular mini-tournaments:
2.3.1. There will be 4 mini-tournaments in each division.
2.3.1.1. Round 1:
– Division C mini-tournament – on May 30;
– Division B mini-tournament – June 13;
– Division A mini-tournament – June 27.
2.3.1.2. Round 2:
– Division C mini-tournament – July 11;
– Division B mini-tournament – July 25;
– Division A mini-tournament – August 8.
2.3.1.3. Round 3:
– Division C mini-tournament – August 22;
– Division B mini-tournament – September 5;
– Division A mini-tournament – September 19.
2.3.1.4. Round 4:
– Division C mini-tournament – October 3;
– Division B mini-tournament – October 17;
– Division A mini-tournament – October 31.
2.3.2. Each mini-tournament includes group tournaments and knockout games.
2.3.3. After each round there is a movement of participants between divisions:
2.3.3.1. In each round, the four members of the A division who take the last place in their group fall into the B division.
2.3.3.2. In each round, the four members of Division B who have reached the semi-final stage enter Division A. The four members of the B division who take the last place in their group fall into the C division.
2.3.3.3. In each round, the four members of Division C who have reached the semi-final stage enter Division B.
2.4. Two final tournaments are taking place:
2.4.1. Grand-final and mini-final.
2.4.1.1. The grand final will take place on November 28. The 16 best participants of the regular mini-tournaments take part in it, taking into account the rating.
2.4.1.2. The mini-final takes place on November 14. The next 16 participants of the regular mini-tournament take part in it, taking into account the rating (in case the total number of participants is less than 32, the mini-final is not organized).
2.5. The dates and times of the tournament may be changed due to technical reasons, current information will be published on the official Facebook page of the Organizer https://www.facebook.com/tautasfutbols , as well as on the website of FK Lielupe.

3. Rating

3.1. In each mini-tournament, participants will receive rating points.
3.2. For each victory in a group tournament game, the participant receives 1 point.
3.3. For each draw in the tournament game, the participant receives 0.5 points.
3.4. Participants will receive raiting points for their results in each division:
3.4.1. In Division A:
– For winning mini-tournament – 16 points;
– For 2nd place – 14 points;
– For 3rd place – 13 points;
– For 4th place – 12 points;
– For 5th-8th places – 11 points;
– For 9th-12th places – 10 points;
– For 13th-16th places – 9 points.
3.4.1. In Division B:
– For winning mini-tournament – 12 points;
– For 2nd place – 10 points;
– For 3rd place – 9 points;
– For 4th place – 8 points;
– For 5th-8th places – 7 points;
– For 9th-12th places – 6 points;
– For 13th-16th places – 5 points.
3.4.1. In Division C:
– For winning mini-tournament – 8 points;
– For 2nd place – 6 points;
– For 3rd place – 5 points;
– For 4th place – 4 points;
– For 5th-8th places – 3 points;
– For 9th-12th places – 2 points;
– For 13th-16th places – 1 point.
3.5. If two or more players have the same number of points in rating, places are determined by:

  1. more overall points;
  2. better difference between goals scored and lost in all games;
  3. higher goal number in all games;
  4. In case all the above scores are the same, the player with the higher position is determined by the extra game until the first goal scored.

4. Tournament conditions and registration

4.1. The tournament is open to participants who are at least 12 years old.
4.2. To participate in the tournament you need to register here: https://forms.gle/9p5cSi9NUr227hzr9.
4.3. When registering for the tournament, it is necessary to specify:

  • Name, surname, age.
  • Link to your Facebook profile.
  • Phone number to contact the Organizer (this information is only visible to the Tournament Organizer).
  • PSN ID (for PS4 account).
  • Twitch.tv account (if you have).

4.4. All requirements mentioned in Article 4.3 of these Regulations is mandatory for each tournament participant, if the participant has not provided all the necessary data, then the Organizer reserves the right to disqualify the participant.
4.5. The schedule of the games and their order in the tournament takes place according to the rounds determined after the end of registration and the start of the tournament.
4.6. Tournament participants are obliged to:

  • Follow the tournament rules;
  • Follow the instructions;
  • At the first request of the Organizer to present a scanned copy or photo of an identity document;
  • Pay the entry fee before each mini-tournament;
  • Provide the Organizer with true information about yourself and your game profile;
  • To play solely under your gaming account, as well as not to provide access to your gaming account to third parties during the tournament, with the exception mentioned in clause 4.7 of these regulations. Failure to comply with this paragraph may result in disciplinary action, up to and including disqualification. The given decision can be made with the Organizer based on the analysis of all information.

4.7. Up to two players can play from one game account. In case two participants from one gaming account participate in the tournament, the Organizer is entitled to request to present scanned copies or photos of both identity documents, as well as to demand to prove the participation of both participants in the tournament by video call.

5. Mini-tournament organization procedure

5.1. In a mini-tournament group tournament, each participant plays 2 games with each opponent (a tie is allowed).
5.2. In the play-off stage of the mini-tournament – one game at home and one away. The winner is determined by the sum of two games (goal gains in both games are counted). In the event of a tie in the sum of two games, a new game is played until the first goal is scored. The winner is the player whose team has scored the goal first.
5.3. The final of the mini-tournament and the game for the 3rd place are played in one game.
5.4. The control times of the games of each round / stage will be determined by the Organizer. A WhatsApp mini-group will be created for each game. In case the players could not negotiate the game until the control time, the Organizer will apply a technical loss of 0:3 to the player whose fault caused the game cancelation, or 0:0 if the fault of both players is determined based on the player list. All moments of the dispute must be described by the tournament participant in the chat of the respective game.
5.5. Round control times are determined after the end of registration.
5.6. All games are played in online friendly game mode (not Ultimate Team).
5.7. The participant can choose any team: club or national team (except for all-star teams). The selected team can coincide with the opponent’s chosen team.
5.8. During one stage, a participant may change the chosen team between games. If the connection is lost, the interrupted game must be completed without changing the teams.
5.9. Game settings:

  • Half time – 6 minutes
  • Game level – legendary
  • Game speed – normal
  • Hand play – off
  • Maximum number of shifts in the game – 3
  • Weather – clear weather
  • Squads – online
  • Rear – On
  • Injuries – on
  • Own schemes – allowed
  • Own tactics – allowed
  • Player tasks – can be changed
  • Protection – tactical
  • Stadium – any

5.10. If two or more players have the same number of points, places are determined by:

  1. more points in mutual games;
  2. better goal difference in mutual games;
  3. better difference between goals scored and lost in all games;
  4. higher goal gain in all games;
  5. In case all the above scores are the same, the player with the higher position is determined by the extra game until the first goal scored.

6. Procedure for organizing final tournaments

6.1. In the final tournament group stage, each participant plays 2 games with each opponent (a tie is allowed).
6.2. Final Tournament Play-off Stage – Best of 3 Rule.
6.3. Final tournament final and game for 3rd place – best of 5 rule.
6.4. The control times of the games of each round / stage will be determined by the Organizer. A WhatsApp mini-group will be created for each game. In case the players could not negotiate the game until the control time, the Organizer will apply a technical loss of 0:3 to the player whose fault caused the game cancelation, or 0:0 if the fault of both players is determined based on the player list. 6.5. Round control times are determined after the end of registration.

6.10. If two or more players have the same number of points, places are determined by:

  1. more points in mutual games;
  2. better goal difference in mutual games;
  3. better difference between goals scored and lost in all games;
  4. higher goal gain in all games;
  5. In case all the above scores are the same, the player with the higher position is determined by the extra game until the first goal scored.

7. Disciplinary sanctions

7.1. The following are prohibited in the FIFA simulator:

  • Any machinations that lead to unjust victory and victory in an unjust way.
  • Offending opponents, other tournament participants and tournament officials.
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct. Unsportsmanlike conduct is determined by the Organizer and includes incorrect behavior, sabotage of games, etc.
  • Play from another game account. It is prohibited to play from another player’s game account, as well as to encourage someone to play from another person’s game account (with the exception described in Article 4.7 of these Regulations).
  • Specially disconnect from the server. Intentional disconnection without good reason.

7.2. In case of ignoring the text message of the opponent of each round / stage after the start of the tournament, the technical loss in the respective game is penalized.
7.3. Game penalties:

  • A player who leaves the game or refuses to continue the game (for whatever reason) is considered the loser and is awarded a technical loss with 0:3.
  • Players who are not connected by the turn / stage control time will be awarded a technical loss. Maximum delay time – 5 minutes. In case both players do not come for the control time, a draw of 0:0 is fixed.

7.4. Appeals:

  • All questions concerning the violation of the rules of the game are submitted no later than 10 minutes before the start of the turn control time.
  • The organizer’s decisions in dispute situations are made only based on information submitted by the participants themselves, game videos.
  • The decisions of the Organizer in any situation, including those not described in these rules, are considered final and are not contested.

7.5. Fines:
7.5.1. If it has been established that the participant has violated the above rules, the Organizer is entitled to punish the participant with:

  • Verbal reprimand;
  • Granting of technical loss;
  • disqualification.

7.5.2. Repeated violations may result in more severe penalties, up to disqualification and disqualification from future tournaments. The organizer has the right to disqualify a participant without prior notice based on and objective violations of the rules of the game and the rules of conduct.

8. Financial provisions.

8.1. The participation fee for one mini-tournament is 10 EUR.
8.2. It is possible to pay at once for all four mini-tournaments. In this case, the total participation fee will be 32 EUR (instead of 40 EUR).
8.3. Participation in the qualification stage is free of charge.
8.4. In case the participant does not come to the mini-tournament for which the participation fee was paid, or in case the participant is disqualified – the participation fee in the tournament is not refunded.

9. Awarding of winners.

9.1. The winner of each Division C mini-tournament will receive € 20.
9.2. The winner of each Division B mini-tournament will receive € 30. In case there are only two divisions, the winner of the B division mini-tournament will receive 20 EUR.
9.3. The winner of each A division mini-tournament will receive 50 EUR. In case there are only two divisions, the winner of the division A mini-tournament will receive 30 EUR.
9.4. The grand-final prize fund is 380 EUR. The winner of the grand-final receives 200 EUR, the winner of the second place – 120 EUR, the winner of the third place – 60 EUR.
9.5. The prize fund for the mini-final is 100 EUR. The winner of the mini-final receives 50 EUR, the winner of the second place – 30 EUR, the winner of the third place – 20 EUR.
